It's official, Storybook Heirloom has gone out of business. I'd been seeing warning signs for a while now (no new merchandise, lots of sales, all the good stuff out of stock) but I was expecting a formal announcement and a final sale before the site went down for good. Though this wasn't unexpected, it's a shame because they had so much promise in the early days... elegant dresses in small sizes aren't just for mother-daughter cutesyness. I know at least one person who was hoping to buy her wedding dress there.

I used to get their catalog back when my daughter was young and though they had some nice-looking stuff, a lot of it was polyester! Later they changed to mostly run-of-the-mill casual clothing.
