Default Why doesn't the U.S. have more small shoe options?

I was looking through the directory of petite clothing stores on this site and started wondering something. What is the deal with the UK having all these shops for small shoes, but the U.S. has only Cinderella of Boston? (Well, Giordano's too but they don't do Internet orders.) This is insane.

I'm as mystified as you are. I live in New York, but even Giordano's doesn't carry sizes small enough for me. I've ordered from Cinderella of Boston a couple of times but don't know when I'll be out in California again. It would be nice to be able to go try on some shoes before I buy them without resorting to girl's sizes.

Default frustration

try shopping for small shoes in australia its even worse!!!! I'm a size 33-34 and these sizes simply are not made here. I've has shoes custom made, but most shoes from these places look like they belong to my grandmother. And yes, the UK has smaller shoes and the US does too, but I lot of sites wont deliver internationally and with postage and the exchange rate, prices are insane!!!

swetmb01, do you know anyone in the U.S. well enough for them to order for you and send it on to Australia? (I've also heard there are services for that, but I'm not familiar with any.) Added expense, I know

Anyway, welcome to the forum! I hope you'll share any petite clothing resources you know of in Australia, I want our list to be exhaustive.

Default Small Shoe Options

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this site and very excited to be here.

I am aware of a few online stores that carry shoes in small sizes. Because there are several, I encourage you to visit my [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register] for a complete list. My absolute favorite is Endless. You can order them today and have them by tomorrow -- FOR FREE!! But most of stores listed have some excellent selections.

Hope this helps.

Endless does have a good selection for size 4 and up, but searching for size 3 shoes only brings up 3 results... two of which are Birkenstock sandals. There's nothing for size 1 or 2, which is what I wear.

Default me too... :(

Yep, I'm a US 2 or 3 (and don't want grandma shoes!). Even if they did sell shoes to fit me, they don't ship overseas. Story of my life.....

michelle, thanks. I did look into the type of service you suggested which will act as a 'middle man' and take delivery of orders and forward them internationally, but I could only find services for the US, not the UK (which as we know if where all the small shoes are). But at least it may help me in the petite clothing search!

Maybe I should compile a list of those middleman services for the directory also, since I'm sure you're not the only one who needs them...

I certainly understand not wanting to go through life wearing Birkenstock sandals. Yuck! Here are few others you may not be aware of: "Small Shoes" carries sizes 1 to 3 only BUT they only ship to the UK (that might be helpful to you SWETMB01); "Dainty Feet" is also in the UK. Their US sizes start at 3 and I'm not sure if they ship to the US. Michelle, the only online store that I am aware of that sells a size 1 is "Cinderella of Boston." They have a few cute selections. I'm unable to post the URLs of these sites since I'm new, but if you check my earlier post, the link to my site is posted and it will take you to a page on my website with the links to these stores. I'll keep looking and post if I learn of anything else.

Oh, one last thing, where on the site can I find the directory that's been mentioned?
