Pageant for petite beauties
Image models
The contest is open to ladies who are between 18 to 27 years old, below 5’3” in height, and willing to travel. The pageant is looking for beautiful image models with petite frames.
This year’s local competition will focus on Philippine tourism. Lagarde said that the winner of another title -- Miss Petite Tourism -- will be chosen to serve as ambassadress of domestic tourism.
The pageant will follow the criteria used by the Miss Petite International committee: poise, modeling grace, beauty of face, good physical proportions, and conversational intelligence.
Official candidates will undergo modeling and personality workshops with fashion luminaries and beauty queens. Then, they will be featured in a series of fashion shows at Cief Café and Ristoranti in Quezon City.
Nonprofit organization
The Miss Petite Philippines pageant is under the auspices of the International Pageants-Philippines Bureau, a nonstock, nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of tourism through beauty pageants.
Entry forms are available at Cief at 229 Tomas Morato and at the secretariat of International Pageants-Philippines Bureau on Kamuning in Quezon City. Call Lanie Aquino at 920-3177.
