Default Has anyone considered a trip to Thailand?

My dad moved to Thailand a few years ago, and his wife has hooked me up with a light silk jacket for a lot less than I could ever get here. I haven't been able to make it out there to get a suit made, but several of my friends and acquaintances have traveled to Thailand for the express purpose of getting a bunch of custom tailored clothes. If anyone is planning a shopping trip to Thailand, let me know and I'll ask her for advice on the best places to go

I've been there and there are a TON of clothes shops there and no matter if they are in a mall or a side street they will tailor anything to you. I brought a bunch of clothes back from there for my sister and they were all high quality clothes that I got literally for a few bucks here and there. I love it there, I would go back in an instant if I had the money and opportunity.

Yes, I have. Many times. My friend got her wedding dress made in Thailand and it didn't cost much, and the quality was good, too.

i wish i could go! i heard shopping is amazing! i have one dress from there from when my best friend went with her family...she told me it was about 75 cents US...and it's actually really good quality. i havent worn it though, and i don't really know if i ever will...bc with a price that low, i feel guilty knowing that it was probably made in a sweatshop

I'm sure sweatshops exist in Thailand, but my father's Thai wife used to be a seamstress and says she was treated very well. That was my big concern about receiving the clothes she sent me, but she didn't seem to think it was an issue. It probably depends a lot on the company.
