Here's a little concept I've been working on: dyeing the wretched pink clothing I find in my size to a more palatable shade. I've dyed undyed cloth in period dyes for Renaissance Fair costumes and I've dyed clothing blanks from Dharma Trading, but never a store-bought item that already has a color. I imagine some items will already have chemicals or other stuff on them to make them resist the dye in places, does anyone have any tips for avoiding this other than washing each item first?
