Default Expression 'I would like to' ...

'I would like to' is a formal way to say 'I want to' (?). What other expressions and phrases can we use when we want to say 'I want to' formally?

(I always say to myself "God ..., what a stupid question I'm asking." But, as they say "The only stupid question is the one left unasked", so I try to ask as many questions like this as I can think of ...)
