How much sugar should one take a day? If it's possible, it's better to not take any (pure) sugar at all?

I don't usually keep track of my sugar intake but I am sure it is too much. I like sweets too much

It's not just sugar but all simple carbohydrates. Avoid any potato and white rice products. Alot of times they trick you by loading meals up with potatoes and rice because they are cheap and list them as carbohydrates, but your body will process them the exact same way as sugar.
