My latest acquisition: a coffee-colored embroidered silk blouse. Originally $70, but only $13 on Overstock.

The embroidery is reminiscent of a salwar kameez, and the label says it's made from vintage or surplus silk.

I've picked up some cotton Ann Taylor shirts, size XXS, which are still a tiny bit too large for me. They're very comfortable and it's quite refreshing to have color choices that do not include bright pink, so I've decided to try shrinking them a bit; I'm currently soaking a plain white one in boiling water. Later I'll wash it in hot water, then dry it in a very hot drier, then iron/shape it by pushing the fibers inwards. I'll report back on just how much it shrinks!

I finally got a chance to visit a Banana Repubic factory store while in Atlantic City this weekend, and discovered that their smallest size (00P) is still too large on me. (And their Petite section was basically a corner of the store, with no clear delineation between it and the regular sizes.)
I'm pretty disappointed about this, as I really like their clothes. And the pieces I like are generally very tailored as it is, so it wouldn't be feasible to take them in, in most cases....

Picked this up at BargainChildrensClothing for only $9.95; may end up being a little large for me as they only had size 12 left. Leather ties, beading, and other nice details on this shirt.

The one good thing about being an adult who wears children's sizes is that when you do find something nice in your size, it's usually pretty cheap.
