I found these awesome barrettes based on Japanese geisha hair ornaments. They're really pricey as each is handmade from silk, but so gorgeous:

Very nice! I'd love something like this to wear to the Harvest Moon festival at our local cultural center, but unfortunately barrettes only slide right out of my fine hair. (And the priceyness. Oh well.)
