Ten years ago petite Chen Zheng was a stylishly dressed clerk in the Public Transit Police Bureau. Today she's an acclaimed "tiny superwoman" who slaps the cuffs on bus pickpockets. She even wrestles them to the ground.

"Because I'm so small, I have to act fast and subdue them in seconds," says the undercover lady crime buster who may ride any bus anywhere at rush hours. She was recently honored as a "Safety Hero" by the transit police.

The 1.51-meter 48-year-old plainclothes cop has arrested nearly 1,000 pickpockets, from opportunists to skilled pilfering gangs, in the past decade.
