One third of the population in US are obese and another one third are over weight today. Are other countries also following this trend ... or not? What do you think about this ... problem?

It's the lack of exercise and such. People need to get out more.

I don't think a lot of people in the US eat as heathly as they think. Too much processed food and fast food. all the vegetables and fruits (unless organic) have chemicals which can't be good for people. We are also more lazy with all the technology that does manuel labor for us.

Another big problem... the healthy food is more expensive than the junk food. I think we'd see a big difference if Twinkies were $100 each and apples were 10 cents.
And did you know obesity can be caused by a virus too? No idea how often that's the cause, but it's possible. |

Vegetables are not subsidized while other food products like sugar are subsidized. That's one of many problems.
