The embroidery is reminiscent of a salwar kameez, and the label says it's made from vintage or surplus silk.

I've picked up some cotton Ann Taylor shirts, size XXS, which are still a tiny bit too large for me. They're very comfortable and it's quite refreshing to have color choices that do not include bright pink, so I've decided to try shrinking them a bit; I'm currently soaking a plain white one in boiling water. Later I'll wash it in hot water, then dry it in a very hot drier, then iron/shape it by pushing the fibers inwards. I'll report back on just how much it shrinks!

I finally got a chance to visit a Banana Repubic factory store while in Atlantic City this weekend, and discovered that their smallest size (00P) is still too large on me. (And their Petite section was basically a corner of the store, with no clear delineation between it and the regular sizes.)

I'm pretty disappointed about this, as I really like their clothes. And the pieces I like are generally very tailored as it is, so it wouldn't be feasible to take them in, in most cases. (Can't shorten sleeves with a lot of detail on the cuffs, etc.)

The one good thing about being an adult who wears children's sizes is that when you do find something nice in your size, it's usually pretty cheap.

Over the past three or four years, plaid has consistently been on everyone’s lists of fall fashion trends. This year, of course, is no exception - plaid, gingham, and tartan were splashed all over the fall 2008 ready-to-wear runways.

Whether or not it’s played out is up for debate. Here’s what’s for certain; plaid is a hot trend for fall, and it’s not going anywhere any time soon.
Couple it with some great accessories and you’ve got the perfect fall look. This dress is also available in Black, Red and Gray.

In almost every celebrity interview, when it comes to naming a favorite wardrobe staple, the classic tee-shirt almost always makes the list. Each piece has its individual style and uniqueness depending on the wearer. The classic white tee can look different on singer Rihanna, Lindsay Lohan or you.
