Oh, what a horrible salesperson!
I've had salespeople suggest children's clothes to me on many occasions and I always tell them that children do not have hips and breasts thus their clothing is unsuitable.
I've also had salespeople be rude to me because I'm small. They seem to think it's ok to make fun of a short and/or slim person in a way that no-one would dare do to a tall and/or obese person.
I think we need to learn how to turn these comments back on the person saying them so that they feel mortified for being so rude. There is nothing wrong with any person of any height or weight wanting to buy a nice outfit that fits well and looks good on them.
